…Clyde Apperson, 69, was charged in 2000 for running what was at the time the largest LSD lab ever discovered.
….the lab in an abandoned Atlas nuclear missile silo outside of Wamego [Kansas]… at the time of the seizure of the LSD lab in the Kansas missile silo, the DEA said it had only ever seized four such facilities, and three of them had ties to William Leonard Pickard and Cylde Apperson… Apperson was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison without the possibility of parole for two counts of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute LSD.
