Massachusetts Republican pushing psychedelic legalization bills
H 3589 – Concerning the legalization of certain natural plants and fungi would legalize the possession, cultivation, and personal use of plants and fungi that contain psilocybin, N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), psilocin, ibogaine and mescaline for people 21 or older. It would explicitly prohibit the sale or transfer of the substances for financial gain and would limit possession to no more than two grams.
H 3605 – Concerning the legal use of the plant medicine known as psilocybin for therapeutic, spiritual, and medicinal purposes would establish a legal and regulatory framework for Massachusetts to issue licenses for people to facilitate the use of psilocybin for therapeutic, spiritual and medicinal purposes. It would legalize the use of psilocybin for those purposes for people 18 or older under the supervision of a licensed facilitator.
