Colorado-based marijuana company not buying One East Broadway in downtown Eugene, after all; it has already bought another downtown building for a pot shop

“We’ve never had any interest in One East Broadway,” Chris Woods, chief executive for Terrapin Care Station in Boulder, Colo., said.

A Colorado-based marijuana company will indeed open a pot retail store in downtown Eugene, but it won’t be at the location the company initially announced. Terrapin Care Station on Thursday said that on Tuesday it made an error when it announced it would buy the building at One East Broadway, opposite Kesey Square, and open a pot shop in that prominent spot. Instead, the company in fact has already bought a building facing the nearby Park Blocks and will open a pot store there, the companay said Thursday.
