Colorado company developing potential prescription psilocybin product

A Colorado biosciences company is hoping that one day patients with anxiety will be able to get a prescription from their doctor to microdose psychedelic mushrooms, pick it up at the local pharmacy and have it covered by insurance.

Joel Stanley is the CEO of Ajna BioSciences in Littleton, Colorado. He says the company received a research and development license from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, and they are using their U.S. Food and Drug Administration-registered lab to try and create a standardized product that can be used for microdosing and put through clinical trials.
