Eugene council changes name of public plaza to Kesey Square
The name change to honor the late author Ken Kesey took effect immediately…
The name change comes two years after the city of Springfield recognized the author with a large mural of him painted on the side of a downtown building. In a related action, city councilors voted 5-2 to suspend indefinitely the request to change the present commercial zoning of the square to public use.
