…with meth there aren’t highly effective medications people can use to control their cravings like there are for heroin… and the federal government agrees… saying (rewards for staying off meth) is the only approach with strong clinical evidence behind it… (with rewards) people are almost twice as likely to stay off meth… the potential for fraud have made it difficult to used Medicaid dollars for this kind of approach… but now, Oregon has it’s own stream of funding under [M110]… pumping 300 million dollars into addiction treatment every two years… providers have proposed buying rewards for people in treatment…
