Kratom duration and half-life
Research into medical marijuana resulted in the discovery of the “entourage effect” which allows for the vast array of possible effects and length of effects experienced by medical marijuana patients using different strains. Kratom, like medical marijuana, has a great diversity of effects based on a multitude of variables.
The most important of these being the chemical makeup of the particular strain, vein and region of leaf used, the “grind” of the plant (how dense or fine the powder is ground) and the density of the individual cell wall. Mitragyna speciosa, the kratom tree, is rich in multiple alkaloids and each binds to specific receptors in our cells upon ingestion. Each of these alkaloids has a unique purpose and duration. It’s the interplay between the personal enzymatic reactions in your body and brain, and the alkaloid profile of the plant that will be most important in determining the type and duration of effects derived from it. As for how the plant will affect the body and for how long, there is no easy answer. It all depends on your body and brain and the plant itself. With dozens of active constituents, multiple vein colors, region to region variations and other variables ranging from soil content and sun coverage to the means of harvesting or curing employed.
